Originally from Story City, Iowa, Dr. Brett found the town of Pella very much to his liking as a Central College student-athlete. Upon graduating in 1985 with a B.A. in Business Management, his first stop in the ranks of professional employment came as a sales representative for Iowa Medical Supply.
In late 1987, Dr. Brett returned to Pella to work in the Admissions Office at his beloved alma mater where he met his bride-to-be, Megan. Upon exchanging nuptials in 1993, it was back to the classroom, preparing for a career transition into veterinary medicine.
Brett graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. After working as a staff veterinarian in both Pella and Des Moines, Dr. Brett opened Pella Pets Veterinary Clinic in March of 2005.
Brett & Megan have four children, Nathan, Noah, Natalie and Nolan.
Dr. Janet Reese received her DVM from Iowa State University College of Medicine in 1993. She has worked exclusively in small animal practice with a special interest in cats and pocket pets.
Janet is married with three children and lives in Oskaloosa where she is active in church, community, PTO and her childrens activities.
Dr. Reese will be accepting new patients on Wednesdays.

| Ornery Patron: | “Perhaps you should have a checkup with your doctor. You look pale; are you eating well?” |
| Dr. Brett: | “You know, you’re absolutely right! I DO need a regular medical check up with my doctor! I now understand that my beauty is only skin deep, and I can’t stay beautiful without regular quality doctor care, JUST LIKE ALL OF OUR PETS.” |
| Dr. Brett: | “Somehow I need to get this message out to all the pet-lovers in Pella!” |
